The main feature of this extension is the instant translation of words in video subtitles. Regardless of your native language, you can choose the language you want to translate to from the extension configurations. It does not require specially crafted subtitles and can work with both subtitles and closed captions auto-generated by YouTube.
With Surf Learning - Open Beta, you can hover over any word in the subtitles displayed on YouTube to instantly translate it. The extension also provides dual subtitles, allowing you to view both the translation and the original dialogue simultaneously. Font sizes and colors of the primary and secondary subtitles can be customized to your preference.
Other user-friendly features of this application include auto-resize for subtitles, auto-pause when a word is translated, and the ability to view the entire dialogue in the sidebar and quickly jump to a specific sentence. It is easy to use, ad-free, and completely free.
